Custom steel structures in Tallinn and Harju County
Novatex Production builds special metal structures to your drawing in Tallinn: steel frames, welded assemblies, hoppers, duct sections and tanks, as one-offs or in small series. For customers in Tallinn and Harju County our workshop is close by: you can collect the finished work with your own truck straight from our yard.
What we build
A special metal structure is a part or assembly you won't find in a catalogue: a machine frame, an equipment housing, a duct assembly, a screw conveyor casing or a hopper. Our workshop in Tallinn has sent out, for example, rolled steel cylinders, cylindrical tanks on base frames, duct sections with a rectangular-to-round transition and heavy brackets with lifting eyes. Photos of them are below.
The service suits companies that have a drawing and are looking for a fabricator to build to it: industrial companies, equipment makers, engineering offices and general contractors. If you need beams, columns or trusses for buildings and infrastructure, see the construction structures page.
How an order works
- You send your drawings with the quote form: DWG, DXF, STEP, IFC or PDF.
- We review the drawings and send you a quote.
- We build the structure in our own workshop: sawing, bending, rolling, assembly, welding and painting. Sheet cutting and galvanizing go through trusted partners.
- We load the finished work onto your truck at our yard in Tallinn.
The typical lead time is 6–10 weeks, depending on drawings, volume and complexity. The more complete the drawing, the less needs clarifying later: the guide how to prepare drawings for a quote helps.
Materials, sizes and certificates
We work mainly with S235 and S355; higher-strength grades on request. A single piece can weigh up to 5 tonnes. Lengths go up to 18 m regularly, up to about 20 m on request.
Our fabrication of welded steel structures is certified to EN 1090-1 EXC2 and EN ISO 3834-2. Copies of the certificates are on the certificates page.
Surface protection and painting
We paint in-house with wet paints, in various paint systems, including fire-protective coatings. Galvanizing (hot-dip, or electro-galvanizing when needed) is done through trusted partners.
Which one suits your structure depends on the environment it works in and the service life required. The guide galvanizing or painting explains it in more detail. Put the chosen protection on the drawing or in the request: it also affects the price, as the guide what affects the cost of a steel structure describes.
