Structural steel in Tallinn and Harju County

We build structural steel for buildings and infrastructure in Tallinn: beams, columns, frames, trusses, canopy columns and railings to your drawing. For building sites in Tallinn and Harju County our yard is close by: we load the finished structures onto your truck or your carrier's.

What we build

Construction structures are the load-bearing and secondary steel of a building or civil structure: beams, columns, frames and trusses, as well as canopies and railings. Our photos show, for example, white-painted steel frames on timber bearers, canopy columns with cantilever arms on site, yellow-painted railings, steel trusses and the frame of a geodesic dome.

If what you need is not part of a building, such as a machine frame, a hopper or a duct assembly, see the special structures page.

EN 1090 and execution class

In Europe the fabrication of load-bearing steel structures is governed by EN 1090. The execution class (EXC1 to EXC4) sets how strict the requirements for welding, inspection and documentation are; where no execution class is specified, EN 1090-2 applies EXC2.

Our fabrication of welded steel structures is certified to EN 1090-1 EXC2 and EN ISO 3834-2; the certificates are on the certificates page. Put the execution class on the drawing or in the request, because it affects both the work and the price.

From drawing to finished steelwork

  • Send your drawings with the quote form: DWG, DXF, STEP, IFC or PDF. A 3D model (IFC or STEP) with part drawings works best.
  • We review the drawings and send you a quote.
  • We saw, bend, roll, assemble, weld and paint in our own workshop. Sheet cutting and galvanizing go through trusted partners.
  • We load the finished structures onto your truck at our yard in Tallinn.

The typical lead time is 6–10 weeks, depending on drawings, volume and complexity. Allow for it when you plan procurement for your building schedule. What a drawing should contain is explained in the guide how to prepare drawings for a quote.

Materials, sizes and surface protection

We work mainly with S235 and S355; higher-strength grades on request. A single piece can weigh up to 5 tonnes. Beams and columns go up to 18 m regularly, up to about 20 m on request.

We paint in-house with wet paints, in various paint systems, including the fire-protective coatings building steelwork often requires. Galvanizing (hot-dip, or electro-galvanizing when needed) is done through trusted partners. The guide galvanizing or painting explains how to choose; the guide what affects the cost of a steel structure covers what drives the price.

Loading in Tallinn

Every order leaves our yard in Tallinn: we load the finished structures onto your truck or your carrier's. Sites in Tallinn and Harju County are a short drive away. For long beams and frames, choose the truck with the length and weight of the pieces in mind. We load orders to Finland, Sweden, Norway and elsewhere in Europe the same way; see the loading photos.

The workshop has been operating since 2020, with about 20 people in production and painting. Send your drawings and we will send you a quote.
